Spiritual Science via distance learning

This program of spiritual science offers a spiritual view of reality that transcends both conventional science and religion. Science has had little success in explaining such areas as human consciousness, the connection between the mind and the body, the origins of life, altruism and ‘anomalous’ phenomena such as near-death experiences, psychic phenomena and spiritual experiences. Spiritual Science explains how the standard materialist model of reality developed, and turned into a belief system. This belief system can only function by denying (or explaining away) a whole range of phenomena that are part of human experience. There is no conflict between Science and Spirituality. All true spirituality is scientific and all true science is spiritual.

Energy: Beyond the Physical Self
This course explores the commonality between conventional physical wellness and good health. It explains how multidimensional wellness and nontraditional bioenergetics therapies play a role in our mental, emotional, and physical health. It discuses the relationship between health and the meaning of life.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

The Search for Meaning
This course focuses on the relationship between problems and the meaning individuals seeks in life. Distinction is made between philosophy and spirituality. It explores the stages of psychological and spiritual development of the individual and the methods for evoking meaning and purpose in life.
Academic Supervisor: Agusti Guisasola Prados

Esoteric Traditions
This course investigates esoteric traditions and the philosophical concerns they raise. It examines the relationship between philosophers and the myths and spiritual believes of their times, as well as the mutual influence they had in the evolution of esoteric knowledge, philosophic thoughts, and beliefs.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Mind, Body & Spirit
This course highlights the importance of the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. It discusses different practices of stress management, meditation, guided imagery, physical exercise, art expression, and biofeedback related to emotional states, wellness, and disease.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Consciousness Studies
This course of consciousness studies builds a bridge between science and religion in order to assess that there is much more to human life than can be seen at the level of neurons. Consciousness may be defined as the perception of something of internal or external existence. This course reviews different perspectives of the nature of consciousness and why consciousness is not a simple problem to deal with.
Academic Supervisor: Radwani Houda

Indian Philosophies
This course addresses the doctrines and arguments of the major Indian schools of philosophy (Samkhya, Buddhist, Vedanta, Nyaya-Vaisesika, and Navya-Nyaya). It demonstrates how these schools ground their religious systems by logically discussing the human soul, God, and the path to nirvana.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Philosophy of Religion
This course provides a philosophical analysis of the major religious concepts, such as God, the relationship between faith and reason, human nature, freedom of will, immortality, and the problem of evil.
Academic Supervisor: Carmen Ramirez Hurtado

Human Consciousness
This course examines the human consciousness. The brain appears to be a complicated organ that register and channel consciousness rather than produce it. Consciousness, the subjective experience of an inner self; could be a phenomenon forever beyond the reach of neuroscience. Even a detailed knowledge of the brain's workings and the neural correlation of consciousness may fail to explain how or why human beings have self-aware minds.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

Extrasensory Experiences
This course argues that despite the absence of scientific proves of extrasensory experiences, there are strong convergent arguments in their favor. Human consciousness can exist independent of brain-activity. Widely reported supernatural abilities and extrasensory experiences cannot be attributed to the mere functioning of the physical brain.
Academic Supervisor: Román Gonzalvo Pérez

Spiritual Wellness
This course distinguishes between religion, theology, and spirituality. It discusses the developmental stages of an individual spirituality and its relationship with health from the world religions perspective. It evaluates the effectiveness of the practices used in spiritual wellness and investigates how spirituality affects people lives.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Comparative Religion
This course studies the world's major religious traditions, including Hinduism and Buddhism, the religions of China and Japan, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All our lives are affected by what goes on in other cultures and countries, so the better we understand each other; the better is our chance for achieving a safer, more productive, and more caring community.
Academic Supervisor: Joseph Kariuki Njino

Metaphysics
This course examines problems such as the concepts of existence, essence, god, universals and particulars, the nature of change, possibility, causation, space, and time. Also, it discusses other traditional philosophical issues that form part of metaphysics namely free will, mind/body problem, soul, consciousness, and the existence of abstract entities (e.g. numbers).
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Extrasensory Perception
This course surveys case studies, laboratory research, and applications of psychic phenomena and Extra Sensorial Perception (ESP). It explores the use and test of psychic phenomena, including dream work, ESP, and developing intuition. It also explores extra sensorial powers like telepathy, precognition, psychokinesis (PK), bi-location, psychic healing, and other supernatural abilities that cannot be attributed to the mere functioning of the physical brain.
Academic Supervisor: Susana Merino Lorente

Spiritual Science
This course of spiritual science explores the nature of reality without the need for belief or worship. It examines how bodies, consciousness, and the underlying fabric of creation function together. It applies truths of physiology, philosophy, quantum mechanics, bioenergetics and other sciences to understand consciousness, awareness, existence and the universe.
Academic Supervisor: Robert Burton Bradley

Spiritual Healing
This course examines the fields of energy for people seeking happiness and health. It explains the functionality of the human energy fields, the subtlety and complexity of spiritual disturbances, and the healing and interactions within oneself and the others. It reviews the methods available for evoking meaning and purpose in life.
